Ultra Moist Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Happy Saturday cutie pies! Before I share this ultra moist chocolate chip banana bread recipe with you, I wanted to tell you that you are amazing and worth all the happiness in the world. Just in case no one tells you today!
Alright, you all know by now that I am completely obsessed with our new neighborhood. Everyone here is super kind and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. The way that our side yard is, it has a black see-through metal fence. Well, at first we wanted to change it to a wood fence but, now that we have lived here for a couple months, we love that everyone stops to say hi or just wave as they pass. I truly enjoy that part of my day every day! Anywho….I digress!
My reason for saying all of that was, when we first moved in, our sweet neighbors Mike and Debbie brought us over some delicious banana bread (I think Debbie said she got the recipe from someone else named Libby so, Libby, thank you)!
Well, my kiddos went nuts over it! So, of course I had to get the recipe and proceed to make it 5 times since then. Our family loves it!
So, all this to say, I am sharing a recipe that I tweaked a little to make the best, ultra moist chocolate chip banana bread ever!
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Spray two loaf pans with Pam cooking spray. These are my favorite loaf pans if you are in the market for some.
And before I move on, have you ever tried one of these loaf keepers?
It holds your bread and keeps it fresh. Best invention ever! Back to the recipe…
You start with 2 sticks of melted butter, then you add in the rest of the ingredients:
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips ( I only use Ghirardelli)
Stir the ingredients well by hand and pour half the batter in one loaf pan and half the batter in the other loaf pan. Sprinkle the tops with a few more chips.
*Now, you can always just do this in one loaf pan and it will make a bigger loaf, but you will need to add time to the cooking.
Bake 1 hour (more if you are only baking one large loaf) and then cool in the pan. Use a knife to loosen the edges and then dump over onto a platter or dish. I have found a great knife for cutting bread that keeps it from falling apart. You can thank me later friend.
Oh and here are some super cute dishes to serve your amazing bread on.
