The Ultimate Back-to-School Shopping Guide for Your Kiddos
Well, it is hard to believe but it is that time of year. I wanted to give you the ultimate back-to-school shopping guide for your kiddos. Now, as you know, my kiddos are older so, I thought I would also add in some items for High School and college aged kiddos as well.
Every year, I try to get pictures of our 4 kiddos but it never fails, someone is always missing. Here are a few pics of the kiddos over the years.
Let’s start with school supplies. It seems like such a long time ago but, I remember as a kiddo, loving to get ready for back to school. My mom would take us to Kmart ( is that even around anymore) and we would pick out all of our school supplies and backpacks. It was the highlight of our summer because we got to choose the things that we loved.
Now, for our kids, they have an entirely different system at their school. They arrive at school on the first day and they have a packet full of their school supplies they need for the year sitting on their desk. On one hand, it makes me sad that I don’t get to do the back to school supply shopping with the kiddos on the other hand, it sure makes life a lot easier.
Another thing that is different for our kiddos is that they wear uniforms to school. That definitely makes it easier for clothes shopping but they love still getting to pick out their new shoes for the year.
I rounded up some standard school supplies that all kiddos can use. It’s odd to me that I have to include face masks as standard school supplies. I never thought I would be doing that.

For shoes, I think I am totally out of the loop on shoe fashion nowadays. My daughter, who is 15, likes the chunkiest shoes you can find. She loves the Air Force Ones. Here are a few that I felt were really popular.

Next up, I wanted to share some popular and highly rated backpacks and water bottles. My friend Bethany at Crisp Collective IG did a water bottle test and the Simple Modern water bottles seemed to hold the cold the best! I only put 4 different backpacks but I thought these were super cute and a couple would be good for college kiddos.
