Living Room Update-From Drab to Fab

This week we are updating our living area a bit. We bought this home a couple of years ago and when we bought it, it had the wood paneled walls. Can you say, “YUK”? I have been working on my husband saying yes to painting it white and making it light and bright. I think he really enjoys the darkness of the wood walls. NO!! I had to do some MAJOR convincing that the white paint would make the area POP more! So guess what….Mama won!

Stikwood provided the amazing fireplace shiplap. It is their Hampton series and the ease of putting this up is wonderful! I did this ALL.BY.MYSELF!! And that, my friends, is saying something.

The new rug is from my friends at Kas Rugs . This is the Bob Mackie Collection and is the Grey Marrakesh. It adds such a nice warmth to this area.

The paint for this room is Cameo White by Benjamin Moore . I got it in an eggshell finish so as not to have too much sheen.

I am still in the process of looking for something to hang above the mantle and above the white table. I will update this post as I get those things finalized. Thank you all for hanging out with me while this room was transformed!!
