How To Add Warmth To Your Windows
Well hey girl, hey. Or hey guy, hey. I hope you are all rocking today like it’s your birthday! Why not, right? Today, I wanted to show you how to add warmth to your windows. Windows don’t get a ton of love do they? They just hold their place on the wall of a house and don’t ask for much.
Well, we wanted to show our windows some love in our new home. You see….we had a dilemma. We had to turn our game room into a bedroom for our older sons. The home we bought was only a 3 bedroom and we have 4 kiddos. So, that meant two kids were homeless. LOL Not homeless but didn’t have a designated space to call their own.
Our solution was to turn the game room into a bedroom for them. Well, the first night one of our sons slept up there he said the moon was so bright he couldn’t sleep. We hadn’t thought about the fact that the space is wide open and full of 6 large windows.
OOPSY!!
So, it was time for a solution and we needed one quickly. We went to our local Home Depot here in McKinney and we looked for shutters to make that space dark at night. The employee at Home Depot was SUPER helpful and he set us up an appointment with Rockwood Shutters. Rockwood made the entire process so easy! They gave us a call the next day and set up an appointment to come measure the windows. The appointment only took about 30 minutes and we were able to select our shutters right then with the help of our design specialist.
Once our shutters were ordered, we just had to wait for the install date to be selected. Because of COVID, as you know, everything is a little backed up. But, even with that, it only took about 25 days from selection to install. So, I was very happy with that.
We chose the poly shutters for our upstairs space, one: because they were a little more affordable and two: because they look just like real wood. We could not be more pleased with how they turned out. If you are like us and need to add warmth to your windows be sure and go with Rockwood Shutters. Head to your local Home Depot and it’s a piece of cake from there.
