Alright y’all, I had to share a DIY project that is so easy your 5 year old could do it (well, maybe).
Now let me say this, I got this idea from other friends so I do not claim it as my own. I am just merely sharing my experience with you so you can squeal with excitement. Much like I did when I figured out how easy these were to make.
Step 1: Purchase drop cloth from any major home improvement store. I bought mine at Home Depot and they were $11.98 per pack. Each pack makes 2 panels (unless you want wide panels and I would use one cloth per panel).
Step 2: Lay out the drop cloth flat on the floor.
Fold the drop cloth in half lengthwise. Now, you are going to cut down the crease.
Step 3: After you have cut the drop cloth in half lengthwise, you are going to fold over the ends to create a top for the curtains. The length of the fold over part is totally up to you. I made mine about 6 inches.
Step 4: Now you are going to accordion-style fold the drop cloth. My panels each had three folds. Once you have the three folds, you are going to use curtain rod clips to hold them in place. I bought my clips at Target and they were around $6 a pack.
When I folded my curtains, I made sure the cut part went towards the window not the front of the panel.
Now they are ready to hang. As far as my Curtain Rod I bought it at Target as well.
Here are some pics of mine once I got them hung up:
If you have any questions or comments feel free to leave them here.
Girl, I love these! Planning to make some soon, so clever and easy. YOU ROCK!
