College Dorm Room Reveal
If you have followed me for any length of time, you know that I have sent two of my children off to college recently. Well, I thought it would be fun to do a college dorm room reveal and share all of the amazing companies I worked with to get these two rooms set up.
A little background first…. I was only able to go to one of my children’s move-ins because, of course, they had to be on the same day. So, we had to divide and conquer. I went with my son and my husband went with our daughter. Naturally, I am going to have a LOT more pictures of my sons dorm room. Getting the husband to take pics is not the easiest thing to accomplish. Honey, if you read this, I think you are the bomb.com
My daughter did most of her own decorating but I did get her a couple items to make her dorm feel like home away from home. I love the prints she picked out from my friends at God’s Fingerprints. I am obsessed with watercolors and she picked some that were absolutely stunning.
I also got her bedding from some of my dear friends at Beddy’s Beds. We now own 4 sets of this bedding. It is fantastic! It makes it so easy to make your bed in a dorm because the beds are up so high. Just zip and go! Viola!
Now, my son allowed me to do pretty much everything in his dorm. He didn’t really care so, I went wild! Oops!
The first thing I did when designing his dorm space was reach out to my friends at Container Store. I went on a shopping spree in their stores and literally spent about 5 hours in there. I was beginning to wonder if the associates thought I was up to no good since I was in there so long. If you are not an avid Container Store goer, you may want to reconsider. They have EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING to get any space organized. I have another blog post about all the things I bought so, I will just show you the finishing touches on this post.
This shelf in the bathroom is holding all of their toiletries and extra towels and washcloths.
The shoe boxes are one of my very favorite things I got for his dorm. They keep everything where it should be and not all over the floor.
The rolling cart is something they are using for all of their snacks. It holds everything they need and keeps it all in one place.
