Master Bedroom Restyle
Well hello you lovely people! How are you doing today? Super amazing I hope! Today on the blog, I wanted to share a little about my master bedroom restyle. I have been wanting to update my bedroom to create a mid-century modern look. I have also been wanting to get a new mattress for our room because my back was killing me every single night.
So, about the first and most important part of this restyle, the mattress. Y’all, I am not joking when I say I was waking up every morning and my lower back was killing me. This went on for about 2 years! I know….waiting two years to be comfortable is ridiculous. Anywho, mattresses are not something that is typically fun to spend money on so I held off. Then, I had an opportunity to work with a brand I had heard such amazing things about. Bed in a Box sent me what I like to call, “Heaven in a box”. Oh my goodness, this mattress is unlike any I have ever slept on! I got the Tranquillium mattress which is a 12′” firm multilayer foam mattress with Cool Rest gel. It is the PERFECT balance of soft and firm. It envelops your body in all the right places.
It has allowed me to sleep…
Really sleep…
Like a newborn baby!
Thank you Bed in a Box for making my nights a dream come true. And for those of you wanting a change, Bed in a Box offers a 120 day trial! WHAT??? Isn’t that amazing? If you are not happy with your purchase you can get your money back. Now that is truly risk-free. Not that you will want to return it, YOU WON’T!
Once I had received the most comfortable mattress it was time to think about the bed and the night stands. I hit the jackpot because I was really going for a mid-century modern look but I was trying to stay on a budget. I have been eyeballing this West Elm bed for forever as well as the West Elm nightstands to match. Guess what….I was perusing Facebook Marketplace and someone was selling the 3 pieces as a set!! They were like brand new because they had them in their spare bedroom. I was so pumped! I ended up getting all three pieces for less than the bed itself. I was in heaven!
I accessorized with some textiles from Woven Nook. I got this lumbar pillow…
these Omi 2-pack black and white pillows…
and this gorgeous Amalfi blanket that I have been wanting forever…
I already had this Kas rug that I have loved and, to me, it tied in perfectly.
This rug is out of stock so I am sharing a similar one from Boutique Rugs that I think would look perfect as well.
We still have to get a new dresser and tv stand but this is a start to our master bedroom restyle. If you are like us, we live on a very tight budget so I have to be ok with doing things a little bit at a time. I am hoping to also get new shutters for this bedroom as well, not a fan of the blinds. I have great plans for the accent wall as well. When we get up the nerve, we will create a board and batten wall. Be sure and stay tuned to the blog so you can see all these things come about. Have an amazing day friends!
