The Griswold Family Christmas Tree
“I give you the Griswold family Christmas tree.” Name that movie and if you get it wrong I am not sure we can actually be friends. In all seriousness, Christmas Vacation is the best movie EVER! It is watched at least 5 times every single year in our home. I just cannot get enough of Clark Griswold and all his antics but my favorite scene is where Aunt Bethany is told to say grace, “the blessing” and she recites the Pledge of Allegiance.
Seriously, could that get any funnier? I just watched it again for about the millionth time and I still get the giggles. This movie is just one of the many things I love about the Christmas holiday.
One of my most cherished memories as a kid was helping my mom decorate the Christmas tree. So, naturally, when Decorator’s Warehouse reached out to help me decorate my tree this year I was ecstatic! Before I show you mine, I want to share some decor trends for 2020.
I almost wish I had known I was going to go green and cream with my decor earlier because I totally would have done my tree like this one by Just Destiny Mag. Isn’t it stunning?
This blue/green plaid tree by Craftberry Bush is a show stopper. Love it against the dark wall.
The next few trees are actually ones decorated by Decorator’s Warehouse. Aren’t they to die for? I decide to go with the gold and white for my tree so these were so inspirational for me.
I love this blue and white tree from Lily Pad Cottage. This may be in my home in the near future.
Now, I want to show you the tree I created with the help of Decorator’s Warehouse. Now, if you have never been there you are missing out. Now, I know a lot of you are not local but they ship so it’s fabulous! Another thing I love about Decorator’s Warehouse is that they have some amazing tutorials on how to decorate your tree. They give you tips and tricks and it sure makes decorating you tree super easy.
I decided to go with the gold and white theme as I stated earlier. I just love the glam of it and I thought it would go perfectly in our new home.
The Griswold Family Christmas tree also has some touches of champagne. Isn’t the garland stunning?
I had to have these gorgeous crystal ornaments.
I took some video and did a tutorial in my stories about the steps in which you decorate and wanted to share some screenshots with you.
Step 1: Tree Topper
Step 2: Ribbon
Ribbon should be placed sporadically. Watch this tutorial for easy ways to make loops and bows.
Step 3: Spray Clusters
When making clusters you will want to have 4-6 different picks to use. Here is another tutorial for clusters.
Step 4: Ornaments
I cannot wait for you to see some of my other blogger friends’ trees that they also decorated with Decorator’s Warehouse. My sweet friend Megan from TXsizedhome is next up on this blog hop so go pay her a visit. Also, Be sure and check out all things Christmas on the blog.
